Oak is aesthetically-pleasing but also a very durable hardwood. It can be kept outdoors all year round. Acorn use kiln dried oak, which has been well seasoned. You may find that, because of the effects of sun and wind on the wood, cracks and splits might be present in your new furniture or may appear at a later date. However, this is completely normal and there is nothing to worry about. In fact, it adds to the natural allure of the wood and the structure of the furniture remains sturdy.

Our furniture comes already oiled. So, you can use it straight away with no worries about care and maintenance. We do advise that you continue to oil the furniture twice a year, before and after a season, depending on the purchase date. Clean or sand the furniture before treating it with oil. During rainy periods, we recommend that you lean oak chairs and benches against a table.
